Dr Barbara Nimri Aziz is an anthropologist, journalist and author. She did her PhD at the University of London with Prof. Fürer-Haimendorf from 1969-1974, carrying out her doctoral fieldwork in Solukhumbu, Nepal. She undertook research in various parts of Nepal for another 15 years, with twenty or more scholarly articles resulting from that. As a journalist, she worked in several countries of the Middle East on assignment.
Dr Barbara authored five books and edited two scholarly volumes:
