Folklore: A Tale of Fista and the King

Folklore: A Tale of Fista (bird) and the King
Compilation: Kishore Subba Limbu

Once upon a time, there was a Fista bird. He used to sit in a branch of a tree near the palace and sing, "I am richer than the king." It is not a day; it is not for two days. It's been a year and a half. One day, the king was sitting in tension due to various problems in the kingdom. At the same time, the Fista bird, as usual, came to a nearby tree and started shouting, "I am richer than the king, I am richer than the king." The tense king got furious. The king issued an order to his staff and officials to either bring the Fista alive or dead. They began to chase the Fista. While chasing, they killed Fista and presented her to the king. As soon as the Fista reached the king's side, the dead fist began to say that "the king was alive and I am dead."

The king became even more enraged. The king ordered his staff to cut the dead Fista into many pieces. The fragmented Fista began to shout again, "King is one; I am a lot." The king became even angrier, and he ordered that Fista's meat be cooked. The cooked Fista said, "The king is raw; I am cooked." The king was now exhausted. The king ate the meat of the cooked Fista. As soon as he finished eating, Fista told the king, "I am inside." "The king is outside." Then the king ordered his staff to take the sword and kill Fista as soon as he spit. The king sat down for supper, and the staff was ready with the sword to kill the Fista. When the king spit, the fista flew away, and the king's staffs charged the sword, cutting the king's buttocks."The staffs of the king's cut the butt of the king," the Fista sang from afar.
