Folklore: A Tale of YETI (one)
Compilation: Kishore Subba (Limbu)
Long ago, the villagers were victimised by the yeti. Yeti used to watch the villagers' work from a tall tree in the jungle all day. When the villagers returned home in the evening, the Yeti's herds entered the field and imitated the villagers' day work the entire night, destroying all of the villagers' day work.

It was not a matter of a day or two days. Whatever the villagers did during the day, Yeti makes it vanish at night. The villagers were fed up and upset with the yeti. Then the villagers made a plan: "It's too much." Yeti is already causing havoc among the villagers. So the villagers devised a plan: "Yeti used to copy us at night, so we had to gather in a big field and do the day's work; we had to take a break for smoking; and finally, the foods and drinks break."At that time, we'll pretend to be drunk men drinking alcohol from the large vessel and fighting with wooden swords. Then we have to prepare strong alcohol and foods and the sharpened swords for the yeti, and then we have to return home.
According to the plan, the villagers gathered in a big field and spent the whole day digging and ploughing the field. From time to time, villages used to take a break from the smoke, and when they ate lunch, they acted like they were pouring alcohol from the big vessel and pretending to be drunk. They then fought each other with wooden swords like they were killing each other. The villagers prepared foods and drinks and sharpened their swords for the Yeti in the evening, and the villager returned.
As usual, Yeti was watching the activities of the villagers from the tall trees of the forest. When the villagers returned home in the evening, groups of Yeti entered the fields and began to mimic the villagers' day-to-day activities. From time to time, they pretend to be smoking a cigarette. They ate foods and drank a lot of alcohol while eating. There was a lot of alcohol. After drinking a lot, they started fighting with each other. Then they drew swords and began to cut each other. The swords were very sharp, and they all cut each other, and all are dead.
When the villagers went to the field to see it, there were so many dead bodies of Yetis in the fields. Then the villagers happily started farming.
