Folklore: The Legend of the Gore Maldai

Once upon a time, There was a man with extraordinary behaviours; his name was Gore Maldai. When Gore Maldai was young, people used to say that he went to Assam once he had a fight with a Naga boy in Assam. Naga was spoiled by the black magic.
Gore Maldai was about 6 feet tall. Gore Maldai never took a bath. Never wash and change the clothes he had worn. Instead, He was used several threads to make jelly packs in his clothes. At first glance, He used to look like a camouflage commando with his wardress.
Once while Gore Maldai was sleeping at home, there was an earthquake and the stone fell down from the top of the house and badly heated on the feet of Gore Maldai. After that, the Gore Maldai used to sleep in the rock cave. He used to burn the big fire with big wooden logs in his cave. The cave was very sage from wind and rain. No matter how much the villagers reminded him not to stay in that cave, he never listens to that and continues living in the cave. After some time, Gore Maldai left the rock shelter and built a cowshed on the side of Parlang. Gore Maldai used to burn a fire in his shelter for 24 hours and twelve months.
"What is your name Maldai?" When someone asked his name, he said: "My name is Gorakhmani". Gore Maldai was educated up to primary school. People used to say that He was very good at education. No one could confuse in math to Gore Maldai. He also used to go to the market every week. And ask the price of the goods. When the sellers tell him the price of goods like One hundred, fifty, Gore Maldai uses to ask them in one rupee, five rupees for the goods.
Gore Maldai was shot by his own father with a gun. The story of the surgery of the homemade bullets uses to heard by villagers. The villagers never gave a clear reason why his father was shot at him. Gore Maldai was very scared of guns even in his old age.

Gore Maldai was a powerful man. The villagers also called him a mountain truck, Bhimsen, etc. He also ate a lot of rice. Gore Maldai never said that he was full of rice. When he used to fill up his stomach, Gore Maldai used to said, "I'll eat after/tomorrow. Eat you too. If there is no rice in the pot, cook and eat." Gore Maldai was very strong, He used to carry the double load, and once he lifted the load, he never takes a rest in the trail until reaching the house. Gore Maldai used to bring double load sacks of the paddy, the double load of the hey from the river basin field to the village at the top of the hill. He used to bring double sacks of fertilizer from the Khadbari Bazar to the village. Gore Maldai used to return back several times, but he never left his load. Villagers never knew the things used to collect with his finger and put in their pockets. Gore Maldai used to walk a long distance with his heavy load when he looked back after walking uphill for a long time, He might be seen or remember something then he used to back carrying the heavy load and reach the place, spit on his finger, pick up somethings and put it in his pocket. No one knew what he was putting in his pocket. No matter how many times the villagers insisted on watching in his pocket, Gore Maldai never let them check his pockets.
The stories of the Gore Maldai's were amazing. If someone touches Gore Maldai in his body, what, where, how many times he has been touched, exactly the same thing, in the same place, the same number of times and with the same force, Gore Maldai must have to touch. Once upon a time, Gore Maldai liked to eat meat. Then he grabbed the piglet that had come to graze near his shelter and roasted it. Villagers told him why he did this without the owner's permission, then he said: "that was domesticated by us if you want to eat, you can eat too".
Once Gore Maldai bought a khukuri (Knife) from the market. After buying the khukuri, Gore Maldai cut the sal trees and deforested the jungle. Villagers told him please don't deforest the jungle, then Gore Maldai said: "Yes, nothing happens when we cut it a little jungle". He used to bring the big logs sal, and Some of the logs are that big, whereby people can make two ploughs by the same log.

Gore Maldai used to make his hair short by burning firewood. Gore Maldai never married in his whole life, but people used to make a story about his crush. Gore Maldai used to love a girl named Chiburchi Maili. Gore Maldai sometimes sang Hakpare (The traditional melody) songs for the girl like - "Hurrrai Chiburchi Mailiu.....",
One day, Gore Maldai brought a big mushroom from the jungle and rested it and ate that and slept. That mushroom was poisonous, in the next morning, People found that Gore Maldai's cold dead body, He might die at night.
