Many years ago, Bisu Puri Budha (an old man) of Harelo Danda (Harelo Hill) went to the forest to graze his cattle. When returning cattle to the home in the evening, he noticed that a pregnant cow was missing. As the breeding cow was missing, they searched around the forest but could not find it. One day, when Bisu Puri was going to mow the grass on the rock cliff, he heard a cow and a small calf crying. The old man recognised the sound of his cow. as he was trying to find out where the dense bush was. He would find a cow and a calf in a small hole in the rock cliff. Bisu Puri was afraid to go inside the dark cave. He returned to the home, organised a torch, and brought his wife with him for the company. When he went inside with the torch, there was an open space inside the cave. There are seven milk jugs. The cow and the calf are sitting happily inside the cave. There were seven milk ponds, and five milk jugs were dripping milk. Bisu Puri Budha had gone a little further through Dharma Dhoka (the Door of the Pure Heart).

His wife was getting stuck in between the doors. Bisu Puri, worshipped God; you are a great Mahadev; I will offer you a golden umbrella. Please return to her. Puri Budha, who went ahead from Dharma Dhoka, found five water ponds falling from a stream of gold. He brought twenty-one orange seeds, planted oranges, and offered the Mahadev the first yield of oranges. The cow and calf have been brought home. Since Bisu Puri Budha could not go to the cave in the middle of the forest on the hill below, he carved the idol of Mahadev on a rock a little below the marketplace on the green hill of Nagi. He prayed to take care of his livestock. The cow's milk was offered in the name of Mahadev. He did not eat at all. Later, the villagers will learn that people began visiting Mahadev through one person to another. They started sharing their griefs and troubles with Mahadev for relief from their sorrows and pains. began to vow. There is a belief that if one wishes with a clean heart, his wishes will be fulfilled. Nowadays, a festival is a celebration during the big Ekadashi of Kartik. Now it is listed as a major pilgrimage site by the local municipality.
